Heat treatment and stripping

Following on from the deformation processes, heat treatments are used to weaken or harden the material, by acting on its metallurgical structure. Various parameters such as heating time, temperatures, cooling or hardening time are meticulously controlled in order to modify the structure of the material and obtain the desired effects or characteristics.

Acid pickling is among the skills mastered by PX. This technique is used to alter the surface finish of a product after a heat treatment, for example.
