Long before the energy crisis hit, PX Group took significant steps to reduce its consumption of electricity, natural gas, heating and water. To meet its target, which is set for the end of 2024, a committee has been formed to oversee this commitment to sustainability. This objective is part of a policy of transparency towards our customers and of energy responsibility. This committee monitors consumption using various indicators. It enables us to quantify the savings made and detect any deviations.

A group of voluntary ambassadors who are sensitive to this commitment has been formed, playing an essential role in this process. They have been integrated into the company’s various departments to ensure moderate energy consumption by following detailed specifications. As well as raising awareness and training staff in this environmentally-friendly approach, their tasks include checking that machines are switched off, turning off lights, closing windows and turning computers off completely, among other things.

The projects currently underway and being studied reflect the ongoing commitment of the PX Group to energy efficiency. Concrete actions such as installing solar panels, reducing peak power consumption, replacing lighting with LEDs and optimising ventilation settings have already been implemented. Other projects, such as modernising cold production, recovering heat from thermal processes, and adding intelligent management to LED lighting, are currently being studied.

The impact of these initiatives has been recognised by the inclusion of PX Précinox in the Swiss Triple Impact Directory. With strong commitments to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the company is targeting objectives such as sourcing artisanal gold by 2028 and reducing the factory’s carbon footprint by 60% by 2027. The creation of a Swiss foundation with the aim of redistributing 80% of premiums paid into community projects to benefit our sources of supply of precious metals by 2025.
The Group also intends to maintain a high level of employee satisfaction.

These ambitious targets show that PX Group is not just a company committed to production, but also one that is aware of its role in protecting the environment, and the health and well-being of current and future generations. An inspiring example of sustainable leadership in the industrial sector.
