PX Précimet is pleased to announce the expansion of its high-precision metals portfolio with the addition of titanium, now available in several grades: 4, 5, 9, and the medical version of Grade 5, known as ELI.
Renowned for its rigidity, lightness, exceptional chemical resistance, and versatile surface finishes, titanium is a material of choice for the manufacture of components in the aerospace, aeronautics, medical, and watchmaking sectors, where it stands out for its signature appearance and comfort in use.
Since 2022, PX Précimet has been actively investing in its production facilities to meet the growing demands of the market. These investments have enabled the company to develop recognized expertise in the processing and shaping of titanium, making it possible to produce complex, tailor-made profiles for the most specific requirements.
Building on this momentum, PX Précimet has extended its know-how to the production of titanium tubes. After an in-depth study of the tribological characteristics of the material and solidifying its expertise in manufacturing pure titanium tubes (Grades 2 and 4), the company is now able to produce titanium alloy tubes in Grade 9 (3Al-2.5V).
This development strengthens PX Précimet’s position as a trusted partner for the design and manufacture of high-value technical components for the aerospace and aeronautics industries.

About titanium
Titanium is the metal of the 21st century, thanks to its impressive high properties and outstanding performance in a host of new applications. Titanium is also environmentally friendly and fashionable.
Main reasons for choosing titanium:
- So solid – Titanium has the highest strength-to-weight ratio of all structural metals.
- Light – Low-density titanium is 56% that of steel
- Corrosion-resistant – Natural titanium oxide film offers excellent corrosion resistance against acids, chlorine, salts and polluted water
- Biocompatible – Titanium is the most biocompatible of all materials
- Environmentally friendly – Titanium is the 4th most important metal on earth and is easy to extract. Over 95% of its waste can be recycled
- Fashionable – Titanium is the metal of design, jewelry and architecture, thanks to its many possible colors and surface aspects.
