PX Précinox SA becomes a member of the Swiss Triple Impact Directory. Its sustainability strategy and commitments to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are set out with concrete measures, for a sustainable and responsible future.
The Swiss Triple Impact Directory is a register of companies and organizations that have completed the STI program and made bold, concrete commitments to the Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In so doing, they recognize the crucial role that business has to play in protecting the environment and the health and well-being of present and future generations.
Commitment 1
By 2028, we aim to supply 20 t of gold from ASM (Artisanal and small-scale mining), compared with 3.5 t imported in 2022 and declared to the LBMA (London Bullion Market Association)*.
* ASM sources are mercury-free, making an important contribution to the Minamata agreements.

Commitment 2
By 2027, we will reduce the carbon impact of our plant by 60% (Scopes 1 & 2) compared to no reduction in 2020, and by 2024, we will commit to the Science Based Targets (SBTi)* initiative.
* By 2024, we will be working with other Swiss refiners to harmonize the calculation of Scope 3 for precious metals sourcing.

Commitment 3
By 2025, we will set up a foundation under Swiss law and redistribute 80% of premiums paid to community projects benefiting our precious metal sources*.
* By community projects, we mean projects that promote well-being, climate protection and biodiversity in the regions where we source our products.
Premiums paid by our customers through the foundation for the purchase of certified precious metals from mercury-free artisanal sources or recycled gold sources of traceable origin.
Commitment 4
By 2024, we will maintain the HR Bench satisfaction index above 3, compared with 2.7 in 2022*.
* The HR Bench scale assesses an environment conducive to employees’ professional and personal development. A satisfaction index above 3 on the HR Bench scale exceeds the national average for companies operating in the same field of activity (1: very dissatisfied, 2: rather dissatisfied, 3: rather satisfied, 4: very satisfied).

Scope of commitments:
PX Précinox SA operates in Switzerland. The commitments made as part of the STI program apply to the sustainability policy for all the company’s activities in Switzerland and in its partner countries. PX Précinox SA is therefore responsible for their implementation within the limits of its field of activity.
