Long before the energy crisis hit, PX Group initiated significant measures to reduce its consumption of electricity, process gas, heating and water. To achieve this goal by the end of 2024, a committee has been formed to oversee this commitment to sustainability. This objective is part of a policy of transparency towards our customers and energy responsibility. This committee monitors consumption through various indicators. It allows us to quantify the savings achieved and detect any drift.
A group of ambassadors who are willing and sensitive to this commitment has been formed, playing an essential role in this process. Integrated into the company’s various departments, they ensure moderate energy consumption by following detailed specifications. As well as educating and training employees in this environmentally-friendly approach, their tasks include checking that machines are switched off, turning off lights, closing windows, and shutting down computers completely, among other things.
Projects in progress and under study reflect PX Group’s ongoing commitment to energy efficiency. Concrete actions such as installing solar panels, reducing peak power consumption, replacing lighting with LEDs and optimizing ventilation settings are already in place. Other projects, such as modernizing cooling production, recovering heat from thermal processes, and adding intelligent management to LED lighting, are currently under study.
The impact of these initiatives is recognized by the inclusion of PX Précinox in the Swiss Triple Impact Directory. With strong commitments to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the company is targeting goals such as sourcing artisanal gold by 2028, reducing the factory’s carbon impact by 60% by 2027. The creation of a Swiss foundation with the aim of redistributing 80% of premiums paid into community projects benefiting our precious metal sources by 2025.
The Group also intends to maintain a high level of employee satisfaction.
These ambitious targets show that the PX Group is not just a company committed to production, but also one that is aware of its role in protecting the environment, health and well-being of current and future generations. An inspiring example of sustainable leadership in the industrial sector.
